What is open source?
It refers to software you can easily download from the internet and modify its properties to make them better, stronger and easier to operate. Usually it is create by hackers and used by people with the “know how”.
This philosophy believes that the software should cost nothing and also that it should be distribute for free breaking down the policy of big companies who sell their software to their customers.
There are a lot of people working in order to provide free software to the users. Examples of open source are: Microsoft Office equivalent known as open office, and Microsoft Windows known as Linux.
